Veneers in Troutdale, OR
Few people are born with a perfect-looking smile, but anyone can have one with veneers. If you are looking for a smile makeover that results in a celebrity-caliber smile, teeth veneers may be right for you.
What Are Veneers? How Do They Work?
Teeth veneers are dental restorations that look like natural teeth. Using custom smile design, models of the teeth, and taking into account your goals for your smile makeover, our dentists can redefine the look of your teeth and the shape of the gums.
Dental veneers fit over the front of teeth, covering a wide range of flaws.
- Slight misalignment
- Discoloration
- Short or worn down teeth
- Chipped, broken, or damaged teeth
- Gaps in the smile
- Irregularity
A single veneer can correct one damaged tooth, or you can opt for a full set that gives you a new smile altogether. A consultation with one of our cosmetic dentists, Dr. Clark Brinton or Dr. Brian Hale, will determine all of the options to help you have a smile you can’t wait to show off.

Types of Dental Veneers
We offer several veneer options at our Troutdale, OR dental office.
Porcelain veneers – Perhaps the most lovely of all types of veneers, porcelain veneers reflect the light like natural teeth, have natural translucence, and are durable. Porcelain veneers require a dental laboratory, and we will protect teeth with temporary veneers until the final veneers are complete.
Composite veneers – Usually used for a single tooth, your dentist can utilize the same natural-colored filling material we use to fill cavities, chairside without the need for a dental lab. Composite veneers do not last as long as porcelain restorations but are affordable and a good solution for immediate needs.
Both of the above types of veneers require the removal of a small amount of tooth structure to make space for the veneer and to avoid a bulky appearance. The dental veneers will then bond directly to the tooth.

Prepless Veneers
Like porcelain veneers, prepless veneers are natural-looking and can cover a variety of cosmetic dental flaws without the removal of enamel. This is a perfect option for patients who want to retain all of their tooth structure and still have a brand new smile.
Caring for Veneers
Like your teeth, veneers are sturdy, but not indestructible. You will need to exercise some common sense caution and never use your teeth as tools or to bite into hard candy or ice. Diligent home care will keep gums healthy and give your dentistry and smile the longevity you desire.
